Article 1:
Indian State Telangana Issues 500 MW Solar Power Tender

This article talks about the power shortages experienced the by the southern Indian state of Telangana. The Telangana state has been facing issues to meet the required power demand of the state. The state on a daily basis needs about 5000 MW of electricity, but has only been getting around 3500-3600 MW of power supply which is not sufficient to meet the daily power needs. This gap in the power supply has forced the Telangana state government to raise a tender to install a 500 MW solar power capacity plant in the form of an auction. The state has also proposed to add 5000 MW of solar capacity and 4000 MW of wind energy by 2019  to meet the power supply demands of the state. The requirement of solar power comes from the less available power supply in the region. The southern states face a problem of power transmission connection with the other Indian states. Thus this need has actually forced a competition between the solar power project developers and the solar power sector as a whole. However the capacity of power supply is expected to rise in the following months.

  1. As we all know Telangana is a new state carved out from andra pradesh due to various circumstances. The politicians have forgotten to address the common problems of people like Power and Water and hence the new state is facing a lot of these problems. I would suggest that both states should sit 2gather leaving their political ambitions behind and sought out the water problems so that the common man doesn't suffer
